Akwa Ibom: Four Little Girls Abandoned on Bridge For Being ‘Witches’

Four little girls from the same family, were rescued by a kind-hearted Nigerian at about 1.00am on Tuesday, October 26th at Abak new bridge, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria were they were dropped off by their parents, abandoned after they were told in a prayer house that all four children were involved in witchcraft.

The children were malnourished, with wounds, bruises, and scars in different parts of their body, signs of torture, which of course are not uncommon with children who have being labelled as witches.

“My father said he’s afraid of God, he would have killed us as instructed by the prophets,” one of the children said.

This is not the first time kids have being found abandoned in Akwaibom over allegations of witchcraft by parents brainwashed by desperate pastors and regratably it wont be the last.

The girls in this case were even lucky to be found alive, as sometimes this abandoned kids often die of starvation or are picked by human traffickers or ritual killers who maraud the streets in search of children for diabolic purposes.

Something has to be done to checkmate the activities of this dedperate pastors and so called parents. If not soon enough the streets of akwaibom will be filled with abandoned children. Or what do you think?
