Many Christians today commit sin after sin on a daily basis. Most times unknowingly others times they do so knowingly.
Below are 7 of the things the bible forbids Christains from doing but we still do anyway.
1. ACCUMULATING RICHES:
Even great men of God are guilty of this. Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other”.
.. You cannot serve God and money.
2. CROSSDRESSING:
The bible also forbids Cross-dressing, this is the act of wearing items of clothing commonly associated with the opposite sex. And it was condemned in Deuteronomy 22:5 “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.” King James Version (KJV).
3. CHECKING BABES OUT:
All guys are guilty of this one, even though the bible condemned it in Matthew 5:28 “But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in His heart.
4. TATTOOS:
Tattoo (which is the act of painting your body) is now trending worldwide all thanks to hip hop celebrities. Anyways, most people don’t know this, but the bible condemned it in leviticus 19:28 when it said “ye shall not make any cuttings in the flesh of the dead, nor print any marks upon you, I am the Lord”.
5. TRIMMING YOUR BEARD:
Leviticus 19:27 “Neither shalt though Mar the corners of thy beard”. yeah. Trimming your beard is a sin. I bet you didn’t know this.
6. BRAIDING YOUR HAIR:
Braiding which is more popular among black women also was condemned by the bible in 1 Timothy 2:9 “likewise, I want women to adore themselves with proper clothing, modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly garments.”
7. GLUTTONY:
Gluttony which means eating more than you have to, is one of the seven deadly sins in christain religion and the bible condemned it in Proverbs 23:2 when it said “And put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony”
8. LADIES SPEAKING IN CHURCH:
1 corinthians 34-35 “As in all congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in churches, they are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission as the law says. If they want to inquire about something they should ask their husbands at home. For it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in church”.
