Efe Ajagba nicknamed The One and Only is a Nigerian professional boxer. As an amateur, he won a gold medal at the 2015 African Games and bronze at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. As a professional, Ajagba holds the record for the fastest victory in boxing history after his opponent Curtis Harper was disqualified for leaving the ring 1 second after the opening bell.
Boxing career
Ajagba was born on 22 April 1994 in Ughelli , Delta State, Nigeria. He took up the sport of boxing in 2011 after previously playing football for a club in Ughelli since 2005.
Ajagba competed in the super heavyweight division for the Nigerian team at the 2014 Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow where he won bronze after been defeated by Joseph Goodall of Australia.
He also competed At the 2015 African Games held in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, in the men’s super heavyweight event. He won the gold medal, beating Keddy Angnes of the Seychelles by a score 3–0 in the final.
In 2016 he won the gold medal in the super heavyweight event at the African Boxing Olympic Qualification Tournament held in Yaoundé , Cameroon.
Fastest Win
On 24 August 2018, Ajagba scored the fastest victory in boxing history in a match against Curtis Harper (a boxer with a 13-6 record), winning via a 1-second disqualification after Harper walked out of the ring seconds after the opening bell in protest over a pay dispute.
It was a stunning moment that aired on Fox Sports1 live from the Minneapolis Armoryin Minnesota.
More than 760,000 people have viewed the video of the “fight” on YouTube.
Till today Many believe Harper was scared to fight Ajagba, an undefeated fighter who had knocked out the five opponents he’d faced before that bout.

Efe Ajagba Recently added more fuel to his growing reputation with a fifth-round knockout of his opponent Kiladze at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California on Saturday, December 21.
