Ethiopian Airlines has been named the ‘best airline in Africa in 2018’ by World travel awards.

The Addis Ababa flag carrier was awarded during at the just concluded 25th Annual World travel awards held in Durban, South Africa.

The award—presented by World Travels—recognised the airlines’ continued rapid growth, increased profitability and contribution to aviation development in Africa.

Past winners of this prestigious awards include Kenya Airways (2017 & 2016) and South African Airways (from 1994 – down to 2015)

WTA was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry.

Today, the WTA brand is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire.
