In 2017, Spain appointed a Minister of Sex whose job was to get people busy between the sheets. The government hopes to boost Spain’s falling birth rate, which is one of the lowest in the developed world. Currently, the position is held by Edelmira Barreira.

2. Minister of Loneliness

UK’s Prime Minister Theresa May has appointed Tracey Crouch as Minister of Loneliness to tackle social isolation. “For far too many people, loneliness is the sad reality of modern life,” she said.

3. Minister of Happiness and Couples Fulfilment

In 2017, Imo state notorious governor, Rochas Okorocha appointed his sister “Mrs Ogechi Ololo Okorocha” as the state commissioner for Happiness and Couples’ Fulfilment. Justifying his decision, the state governor, said he observed the people of the state, were bittered, so he created the Ministry of Happiness and couples Fulfilment, to archive happiness for them.

4. Minister of Happiness

In Dubai, there is also a Minister of State for Happiness. This office is responsible for the overseeing of plans, programs and policies to achieve a happier society in the United Arab Emirates. This position was announced by the UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in 2016 and is currently supervised by Ohood bint Khalifa Al Roumi.
