Eye strain is one of the most annoying symptoms of drowsiness and it is also caused by staring at your book for long hours. You can Prevent it by exercising your eyes -roll them up and down, side to side – every few minutes when studying.
3. Expose yourself to sunlight
When you feel the warm hands of sleep knocking on your door, Go outside and expose yourself to sun light.
#fact: The more light your body is exposed to, the more active and alert it will be.
Exposing yourself to artificial lights around you for a while would have almost the same effect.
4. Engage yourself in a physical activity no matter how brief
Physical activity is a great way to fight sleepiness. When you feel like sleeping, drop down and do some push-ups, pull-ups, or you can just walk around. With this you get to read and at same time get in shape.

5. Stand Up While Studying
What’s even more effective than all the tricks above is when you stand up while studying; hard, but it works magic, as it is virtually impossible to fall asleep while standing, also the constant shifting of weight also keeps you wide awake.
