Nigerians have been ranked among the most industrious and educated immigrants living in the United States.
The Nigerian immigrant workers scored an impressive 71.0% to emerge eighth in the list of the most hardworking immigrants in America.
The report indicated Ghana workers scored 75.2% to emerge first in the list of the hardest working immigrant groups in America. Followed by Bulgarians and Kenyans who were ranked positions three and four with scores of 74.2% and 73.4%, respectively. In total, 5 African countries made the list making Africans in general the most hardworking immigrants in the US .
“If we want more high-skilled and hardworking English-speaking immigrants, it looks like the most obvious place to find them is in Africa,” Bloomberg’s journalist Justin Fox who is behind the rankings noted in the report.
Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana and Napal also had the highest number of immigrants studying and working in the United States.
The report, which was reportedly developed based on data from the 2016 US Census Bureau American Community Survey, indicated Nigeria (together with Kenya, Ghana and Nepal) also had the highest number of immigrants studying in America.
